Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From:
Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community

I am thrilled to share some exciting news regarding promotions within our team. Please join me in congratulating the following individuals on their well-deserved promotions:

  • Cheryl Armas has been our dedicated Infection Prevention Nurse for the past 2.5 years. Cheryl has recently been promoted to the position of Assistant Director of Nursing. Her passion for healthcare and her attention to detail set her apart. With each passing day, she not only honed her skills but also radiated a sense of empathy and understanding that touched the lives of everyone she encountered.

  • For the past 12 years, Phyllis Adolphus has been an integral part of the Solheim family, starting her journey as an Admission Coordinator. Phyillis has been promoted to the position of Infection Prevention Nurse. From the beginning, Phyllis demonstrated her dedication, ensuring that each patient's transition into our care was seamless and compassionate.

  • Denise Medina began as an Activities Assistant, where she quickly became known for her love for engaging with residents, whether it is leading and organizing enriching activities, or simply sharing a warm conversation.  Denise has been promoted to the role of Admissions Coordinator and will be transitioning into her new role as Admission Coordinator in the upcoming weeks.

These internal promotions stand as a testament to the exceptional contributions and steadfast commitment of our staff to our mission of providing unparalleled care to our patients.  Once again, please join me in congratulating our team members.

As I mentioned last week, we are nearing the end of the first quarter of the year and we are accepting nominations for our “Solheim Feeling” Employees of The Quarter, and as always, we greatly welcome your kind words and accolades.  You may submit a nomination online at www.solheimsenior.org/employee-recognition or find a form at our front desk and nursing stations! Get those in right away to be counted towards the 1st Quarter nominations!  We also continue to accept donations towards our Employee Appreciation Fund year-round.  Visit www.solheimsenior.org/donate to make a donation or contact Tina Antypas for more information on setting up a monthly automatic donation.

Masks are strongly recommended for visitors.   Staff who are not vaccinated with both the influenza and COVID -19 vaccines for 2023- 2024 winter season are still required to wear a mask in the Health Center/ Skilled Nursing campus.  Masks will be provided at the Front Desk.  All Solheim visitors and staff members must continue to conduct self-screening for symptoms of possible COVID-19 infection prior to entry.

If you have any specific questions, please direct them to Tina Antypas at 323 257-7518 X225 or tantypas@solheimsenior.org.
