Weekly Update April 12, 2024

April 12, 2024

To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From:
Sam Oden, CEO of Solheim Senior Community

It’s wonderful to see the community growing, isn’t it?  Welcoming new faces and sharing the essence of the “Solheim Feeling”  is a fantastic way to ensure everyone feels at home. Once again, I encourage you to make a point of warmly welcoming our newest residents.

I also want to take the opportunity to remind everyone that our “Refer-a-Friend” program is still underway!  Any resident who refers a friend to Solheim will receive an incentive when that referral moves into our community and becomes part of the “Solheim Family.” And in fact, it’s even better than that: Both the current resident and the referred resident will also receive a $1,000 credit on their fourth month’s rent.   It’s a win-win for all involved!  Not only do you get to expand your circle of friends, but you also get to enjoy some financial benefits.  Please contact Emily Pierce our Sales Specialist for more information about this program at epierce@solheimsenior.org or by calling our front desk.

Our staff is integral to the exceptional care that is provided here at Solheim, and one of the main reasons we hold a 5-Star overall rating with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services . Their unwavering dedication and tireless efforts are the cornerstone of our community's well-being. Although we do not allow tipping, we do offer an opportunity for you to show your deep appreciation for their commitment. Donations to our Employee Appreciation Fund are welcome all year round, providing a meaningful way to express your gratitude.

As we mentioned at yesterday’s Resident Town Hall meeting, these funds are distributed to our employees at the end of the year, and setting up a systematic monthly gift now makes a meaningful gift more manageable. Contact Tina Antypas for help with setting up a systematic gift or visit www.solheimsenior.org/donate and choose the Employee Appreciation option. Your gifts help uplift and celebrate those who dedicate themselves to serving our community with such extraordinary devotion.

Masks are strongly recommended for visitors.   Staff who are not vaccinated with both the influenza and COVID -19 vaccines for 2023- 2024 winter season are still required to wear a mask in the Health Center/ Skilled Nursing campus.  Masks will be provided at the Front Desk.  All Solheim visitors and staff members must continue to conduct self-screening for symptoms of possible COVID-19 infection prior to entry.

If you have any specific questions, please direct them to Tina Antypas at 323 257-7518 X225 or tantypas@solheimsenior.org.
