July 3, 2020 WEEKLY Update
July 3, 2020
The pandemic continues to present new challenges for Solheim, as well as the greater Los Angeles area. We are very mindful of the surging number of cases across our country, and it serves as further motivation for us to continue engaging with our team members and reinforcing the vital importance of following the appropriate precaution and prevention measures.
We are pleased to report we have no new positive cases since our last communication. We will continue testing our staff regularly and will continue to offer testing to all residents in our community. As of today, we have three active positive resident cases in our Halvorson Memory Care Neighborhood and two active positive non-direct care staff member cases.
Our dining department is continuing to work towards a re-opening of our dining room, which will include two seating times, various dining locations, and of course the proper social distancing. We will remain flexible, knowing at any moment we may need to revert to our current process.
I understand the impact this pandemic has had on our residents as well as their family members, and we are diligently discussing how we may slowly start to re-open, and allow for visitations, while still keeping the health and safety of all in mind. We thank you for your prayers, support, and patience.
Paloma Barroso’s retirement is now official, after having been with Solheim for over 22 years, As we transition, Kathy Rust will be taking over the scheduling of our video calls, which are currently on hold in all areas.
