To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
From: Sam Oden, CEO
As Solheim continues to move forward during this Coronavirus Pandemic, we keep our eyes on the immediate tasks at hand to keep our residents and staff safe but are looking to what the future of our industry will look like, in a year, two, ten, and beyond. We understand it will not be back to business as usual any time soon, if ever, and I'm sure you are pondering the same thoughts. Regardless, our mission remains the same of providing abundant living for older adults in a caring faith-based community filled with love, peace, dignity and security.
We are starting to receive our second round of testing results for all staff and residents, and we have confirmation of five residents in skilled nursing that have tested positive for the Coronavirus. Please know that we have contacted the families of those residents that have tested positive already, and will follow CDC and the Department of Health guidelines regarding quarantining, etc. We will keep you up to date as we receive more testing results.
We appreciate the support you have shown Solheim and our staff during this unusual time. We understand how difficult it is not to be able to be with your loved ones. We continue to strive to provide engaging activities, while practicing social distancing guidelines.
Thank you to our many friends who have helped with donations towards our staff meals, as we celebrate National Nursing Home Week this week, and focus on the hard work of our team of employees.
Visit your loved one virtually by visiting www.calendly.com/pbarroso or by clicking HERE. We have completed over 575 calls to date!
