From: Sam Oden, CEO
Yesterday, May 6th marked National Nurses Day. It also begins National Nurses Week (May 6-12). National Nursing Home Week is celebrated May 10-16th, and some have just called the month of May National Nurses month. For a single site Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) such as Solheim, it takes only a moment to understand that we're not only celebrating our nurses. We're celebrating all our team members of nearly 210 individuals.
From the moment a resident or family member considers coming to Solheim, they are cared for by our administrative and sales staff. They are lovingly cared for by our direct care staff, nourished by our dining staff, enjoy a clean and safe campus because of our facilities and housekeeping staff, participate in various activities, are secure in knowing Solheim has endured over 97 years here in Eagle Rock and we look forward to at least 97 more! Solheim is THANKFUL for our EMPLOYEES, and if you are thankful too, let us know!
We have confirmation of one additional direct care staff in skilled nursing testing positive. This employee last worked on May 3rd and will not return to work until cleared to do so.
We continue to stay vigilant with our infection control practices and keep our residents and staff safe. Our first round of testing has been complete, and if your loved one's results came back positive, you would have received a call from us. We have just received several new testing kits from the City of Los Angeles and will start our second round of testing soon.
Visit your loved one virtually by visiting www.calendly.com/pbarroso or by clicking HERE. We have completed over 550 calls to date!
We will continue to update you as changes occur, and you may visit our website for more information at www.solheimsenior.org . If you have any questions, please direct them to Tina Antypas at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 323 257-7518 X225.
