Solheim Senior Community’s primary goal is the ongoing welfare, safety, and health of our residents and Staff. We continue to monitor and follow The California Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and local health department’s guidelines.
This memo is to alert you that on Monday April 13th, we learned that one of our staff members has been diagnosed with COVID-19, the illness resulting from the novel coronavirus. We are actively monitoring our staff and residents for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and are working with our local and state health departments. All of our staff members continue to follow public health recommendations to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. These include strict handwashing procedures and wearing facemasks.
The staff member is at home, and has been at home for several days. The employee is following treatment according to protocols and procedures regarding COVID-19.
We have notified public health officials as required and are following procedures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention as recommended by authorities to contain the spread. We want to make residents, their families, our dedicated staff, and our community aware of this situation and reassure everyone that we are on top of the situation.
Due to federal privacy laws, and out of respect for the privacy of our employee and the family, Solheim Senior Community is not sharing any additional information about the medical status of the employee.
