COVID-19 Update 1
To: Solheim Employees, Residents, Family Members and Stakeholders
Solheim's leadership team is closely monitoring the ongoing situation with the coronavirus or COVID-19. We are keeping track of the latest news and information from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as state and local public health department directives.
The health, security, and safety of our residents and staff are our highest priority. As reported and confirmed by the CDC, there are potential outbreaks and confirmed illness in various parts of the United States. The leadership team at Solheim is addressing this situation and we are ready to take prompt and effective action as needed.
At this time, we are asking that all residents postpone all planned non-essential visits from visitors, including family members, friends, etc. We encourage you to use digital/virtual communication to stay in touch with friends and family members during this time. If you need assistance with setting up or using a device, please contact the front desk and we will assist you. We understand that this request is difficult and we hope this will only be for a short time.
As of Wednesday, March 11th at 7am, we will also be limiting visitors to our community based on CMS' guidelines. All staff and all visitors will be required to go through screening for symptoms of COVID-19. This will take place in the lobby of our skilled nursing entrance. Our main entrance will be closed to visitors, as we ask all to enter through our Skilled Nursing entrance for this screening.
We understand this may cause an inconvenience, however we continue to keep the health, security and safety of our residents, family members and staff as our highest priority, and appreciate your help. Regular updates will be emailed and posted to www.solheimsenior.org. We will continue to monitor local, state, and federal reports and share information as it becomes available.
If you have any questions, please direct them to Tina Antypas at email@example.com or call 323-257-7518 X225.
